Ships “Aldan” and “Sveshnikov” are very comfortable and also are perfectly equipped. For tourist accommodation, ships have 2, 3 and 4 berth cabins, including deluxe and semi-luxe cabins. 1st Day Flight Uk- Moscow. Met by representatives and transferred to the ship. Moscow. You enjoy the guided panoramic tour around the most beautiful city in Russia. You will be able to walk along the Red square, visit the largest department store GUM, new Arbat, St Basil’s cathedral and of course the Kremlin. Your journey starts in the afternoon in Moscow from the southern or northern ports. 2nd Day Ryazan it is one of the oldest cities with really dramatic history, suffered from numerous invasions from the South. Ryazan was the first city to meet the Mangol of Batu Khan. The Ryazan area is the home to several famous Russians; among them is the poet Sergey Esenin and the world known scientist Pavlov. You’ll have the unique opportunity to walk along the streets to feel the atmosphere of a provincial Russian city accompanied by a professional guide. 3d Day Kasimov founded by Yuri Dolgoruky in 1152, the city was captured during the Tatar invasion; now attract a great number of tourists with its unique monuments of Tatar architecture of 15th-17th centuries; old building of the town centre; picturesque location. Enjoy visiting some interesting historical monuments preserved from the Islamic period during your city tour around Kasimov. 4th Day Murom it is one of the oldest Russian towns, was first mentioned in the chronicles of 862. Surviving historic buildings include the Trinity and Annunciation monasteries and the churches of the Resurrection and Transfiguration, all from the 17th century. Murom is the native town of the well-known hero of Russian legends Ilja Muromets. You spend the whole day enjoying the sights of incredible beauty. 5th Day Pavlovo. High up on the right bank of the river Oka, in all its beauty, stands the town of Pavlovo. Mainly known in the whole world for its metalwork factories and of gorgeous beauty shawls, here you can visit metalwork museums with amazing collection of locks with exhibits weighing from a mere 0.7 grammes to fifty kilogrammes. Several exhibits are only visible with the help of a microscope: for example, the mechanical golden flea with platinum legs, or the lock, mounted in the eye of a needle, both executed by the master craftsman Pavel Kupilov. 6th Day Nizhniy Novgorod. After all the quietness of provincial Russia, you spend the whole day in the third largest urban city of Russia. Nizhniy Novgorod preserved a great deal of historic treasures and was included by UNESCO into the list of the 100 cities in the world reflecting the heritage of the world culture. And you thought Kremlin was in Moscow... Well, Nizhny Novgorod has one of it is own. 7th Day Yaroslavl has significant potential for tourism, deriving from its rich history and from the natural beauty of the region. Many important architectural monuments from the 16th and 17th centuries have been preserved and the city of Yaroslavl has several very fine museums. You’ll have unforgettable experience during your city tour including the excursion to the Spassky Monastery. The original Monastery dates from the late 12th to the early 13th century. The oldest surviving building is the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral dating from 1516. The compound includes several other important historical sites, including the library where the famous Russian epic, “The Lay of Igor’s Host” was discovered. 8th Day Kostroma it is one of the cities included in the Golden ring of Russia, Kostroma is rightly called a treasure house of Russian culture. The names of great cultural, scientific, and artistic figures such as poet N.A. Nekrasov, dramatist A.N. Ostrovsky, artist B.M. Kustodiev, and merchant P.M. Tretyakov [founder of the famous Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow] are connected with the city. Panoramic tour of the city finishes with the excursion to the monastery of St Epathy the main architecture and historical attraction of the town. 9th Day Uglich founded in 1148, Uglich is one of the most beloved towns in old Russia. The view of the town as it is approached from the Volga River is especially lovely with the Cathedral of the Resurrection and St. John’s Church looming on the horizon. At the end of the 16th century, Maria Nagaya, seventh wife of Ivan the Terrible, lived in honorary exile in the Kremlin at Uglich. It was here in her garden that the Tsarevich Dmitry met his death and where the Church of St. Demitrius of the Blood was built and still stands today. Within the Kremlin is the oldest building in Uglich, the Palace of Tsarevich Dmitry. |
